Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day! I have this note on my office wall that my daughter wrote down for me once:
M - magical
O - overcaring
M - most nicest person ever (even though you say No sometimes)
No one said motherhood is easy, and some days are much better than other days. I remember when the kids were much younger, and they'd sit outside the bathroom—sometimes sticking their little toddler fingers under the door. But no one told me you'd lose all sense of privacy as a mom too. Being a mom is one of the most demanding and rewarding jobs. We are on the clock 24/7, and even when they eventually leave the house, you still worry about your kids.
So what can you do to balance the demands of being a mom? I am getting better at giving myself permission to take care of myself. I go to the gym in the morning before work and after the kids leave for school. I take my kids along when we have events for Gala Tea and Gifts so they can learn about entrepreneurship.
Just remember, "To the world, you are a mother. To your family, you are the world." - Unknown.
