5 Quick Tips for Healthy Skin All Winter & New Lotions Launch

Hi Friends,

I hope you are staying warm, drinking a cup of warm chai tea, and staying safe over the next few days.  I can't believe we have a projected low temperature of 3 degrees on Monday night.  Chris and I went for a quick walk today and my legs were numb under my jeans after 15 minutes.  The cold weather can be brutal on your skin both covered and uncovered.

Here are 5 Quick Tips for Healthy Winter Skin

1) Invest in a Humidifier to Maximize Moisture
Humidifiers aren’t just for sick kids. You should run a humidifier in the rooms you spend the most time in, including your bedroom,

2) Lower the Thermostat to Avoid Dryness
As insane as this sounds, you should try setting the thermostat at a cool yet comfortable setting 68°F to 72°F to maintain healthy skin.

3) Limit Shower Time and Temperature
A long hot shower sounds good, but it can actually remove your healthy natural skin oils. Even a few degrees cooler can save your skin. Also, consider wearing dish gloves when you are rinsing the dishes.

4) Moisturize Frequently
Applying lotion to your body after showering or washing your hands can help seal in moisture and keep your skin feeling and looking great.

5) Apply Sunscreen - even on Winter Days
The Skin Cancer Foundation advises applying sunscreen on both bright winter days and overcast days. Keeping up the habit of sunscreen will help you avoid wrinkles and sunspots.

Just in time for keeping your skin moisturized and healthy, I am glad to share that I finally added the new line of luxurious whipped body lotions to the online store.  You can check out the entire new collection here:
